Catholic Tent Revival

Perhaps to you Catholic Tent Revival sounds like an oxymoron or a contradiction of terms.  St. Francis wants the world to know - the spirit of revival dwells here!  Our Tent Revival theme is We Must Go.  It will be held September 12, 7:00-10:00PM.  Father Marc Montminy of St. Marie Parish, Dick Kiernan of Alpha New England, and The Silence Within music group will all be present helping us to draw closer to God.  Luke 10:2 "And He was saying to them, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.'"

2008 Shack-A-Thon

Forty or so big cardboard boxes, twenty rolls of duct tape, twelve or so adults, and sixty high school students – created a recipe for success at St. Francis’ first Shack-A-Thon September 2007.  About $2300 was raised to help Habitat for Humanity to serve the homeless of Nashua NH.  In a month we’ll be doing the whole thing again.  This year our goal is to raise even more money so that we can help two organizations:  Habitat for Humanity in Nashua, and The Way Home in Manchester.  This event will take place on September 27-28, 2008 in the church parking lot.

Eucharistic Workshops

In the wake of the Eucharistic Congress in Quebec in June, Father Ray felt it appropriate to focus on the Eucharist as a parish.  Last fall we had already begun offering Perpetual Adoration on Mondays from 9:00AM-8:00PM.  Through the summer we continue this devotion between the hours of 9:00AM-12:00PM.  Many parishioners have committed to being responsible to pray during these specific hours, and others stop in as they have time.  In addition to this time of Adoration, Father Ray helped facilitate the organization of a series of Eucharistic workshops.
