Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7

Father, in Your mercy, hear our prayers.

Please pray for the soul of Father Jack Horan who passed away (Tuesday, August 19th) at 1:00 PM. Father Horan was a tremendous resource and joy to our parish. He touched our lives with his ministry and willingness to share his faith and help us grow in ours. He will be missed!

In Loving Memory
Almighty God, through the death of your Son on the cross, you have overcome death for us. Through his burial and resurrection from the dead you have made the grave a holy place and restored us to eternal life. We pray for Father Jack who died believing in Jesus and will be buried with him in the hope of rising again. God of the living and the dead, may those who faithfully believed in you on earth praise you for ever in the joy of heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I have a double prayer request related to one of our parish school families. The family is involved in a very challenging time in a family court case. Please pray for the Lord's blessing and guidance on all involved so that each of the various elements will be appropriately resolved in a "timely" manner and also that the Lord's peace will fill the heart of the mother (who is really torn with anguish).

The family has four children in the school, but their status for next school year has not been resolved. Please pray that, God willing, the financial and other matters will be taken a care of and that the children will be able to attend the school next year.

Thank you, and God bless you and each of your parish ministries,

Please pray for my father who has an incurable bacterial lung infection.
He just finished an intensive round of daily intravenous antibiotic treatments, and the hope is that
the infection will go dormant.

Please also pray for my Aunt that is dying. Her entire system is failing, and nothing can be done.
Please pray that she passes peacefully, knowing she has been a devoted wife, mom and Catholic.

Thank you for all your prayers for my granddaughter Mia. She went through a battery of test and they determined
that her eating problem is not related to her heart condition. They still have some testing to do to findout about
her lack eating....

Again thank you so much for your prayer.
