Generation Change
A Book Review

This is probably the first book review you’ll find on this site.  It isn’t that we don’t like to read or that we don’t recommend books – its just that this might be the first book that quotes one of our youth ministers.  The book is called Generation Change, written by a teenage abolitionist named Zach Hunter.

Zach began an organization called Loose Change to Loosen Change (LC2LC).  He wants to make a difference in the world by freeing people from modern-day slavery.  The book Generation Change is a challenge to today’s youth to make a difference in the world.  It recounts the stories of people who are doing that now, and ways for teens to get involved. The book offers many great ideas for making a difference in the world – the key being to get out there and do something.

Summer Program

New Lower Prices!

"Fun in the Sun" summer day-camp begins` its sixth summer of operation. It began as a program to give parishioners a safe and wholesome summer day care program for families that have working parents.  Run by Vicki Isabelle, the parish Religious Education Director, she and her staff have created a wonderful and fun environment for children under 13 years of age.

This year the program has been filling up quickly, but there are still spots available.  The parish lowered the price by more then 20% and the great reputation that has developed over the years is beginning to spread around southern Manchester and Litchfield.  "We're only taking 40 children, the program is oriented towards families that need multiple days of day care for their children," says Vicki Isabelle, the program director.
